Domestic Activities

Every year, the JSFO holds an annual scientific meeting during the autumn season in the metropolitan area (Tokyo and neighboring cities) and local cities. JSFO also holds symposiums at the annual meeting and at the beginning of the fiscal year, with a common theme for all members. Regarding special themes related to a local area, the JSFO also holds scientific local workshops every year. Hokkaido, Sanriku area, Joban-Kashimanada, Sagami Bay, Sea of Japan, Suruga Bay, Kumanonada, Hiroshima Bay, Nagasaki, and Southern Kyushu are some cities that have held these symposiums recently.
