The JSFO Uda Award was eestablished in 1996 to honor a scientist who had
made a significant contribution to the field of Fisheries Oceanography.
The JSFO Best Paper Award was established in 1999 to honor two of the most remarkable
papers during the last two years in the Bulletin of the Japanese Society
of Fisheries Oceanography and Fisheries Oceanography.
The JSFO Early Career Scientist Award was established in 2010 for two scientists younger
than 40 years old to honor their excellent contribution to the Fisheries Oceanography.
The JSFO Best Presentation Award was established in 2011 for several papers presented by scientists
younger than 40 years old at the annual scientific meeting of JSFO to honor their remarkable presentations.
